POLAR BEVERAGES ACQUIRES DEEP SOUTH BEVERAGE MANUFACTURING
WORCESTER, MA -- Polar Beverages today announced its acquisition of the Winn-Dixie Deep South Beverage Manufacturing facility in Fitzgerald, GA, as of April 29, 2011.
“The Fitzgerald bottling facility ideally fits Polar’s southern growth strategy. We have had the opportunity to meet with many of the Winn-Dixie associates and have tremendous respect for their capabilities. Polar Beverages is looking forward to growing the business together.
“Deep South Manufacturing brings to Polar Beverages a diversity of manufacturing capabilities Polar has long sought. Deep South produces carbonated beverages along with an assortment of new-age teas, functional waters and juices that will enhance Polar’s product offerings to our new-age distribution partners as well as our retail branded customers,” said Ralph D. With the addition of the Fitzgerald facility, renamed Polar Beverages-Southern Bottling, Polar now has abundant excess capacity for continued growth thus solidifying its expansion in the Southeast and Florida.
