Polar Beverages Partners With Nature!
Participating in Oceans Day at New England Aquarium on June 7th
WORCESTER, Ma. – As part of its long-term environmental initiative program, the Polar Beverage Company will be joining the New England Aquarium on June 7th in Boston for the Ocean’s Day Festival.
Scheduled 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the New England Aquarium Plaza, the first annual World Ocean’s Day event -- designed to “raise awareness for ocean conservation” -- will feature interactive games, activities, eco-friendly giveaways and music. Polar, the official beverage partner of the New England Aquarium, will be on hand for the day with free samples and handing out free Polar blue eco-friendly water bottles. Polar’s participation with the New England Aquarium is one of several on-going programs the Worcester-based beverage company has developed in partnership with local, national and international nature organizations:
- Polar is also an official beverage partner of the non-profit organization Defenders of Wildlife. Based on Washington, DC, the group’s mission is to “protect animals and plants in their natural communities.” Defenders is working to help save the Polar Bear, which was listed in 2008 as threatened under the Endangered Species Act. For its 125-year history, the Polar Bear has been a key company symbol for Polar Beverages. For details, visit www.defenders.org.
- Polar is also a partner with the International Animal Rescue. Based in the United Kingdom with its US Office in Shrewsbury, MA, the IAR’s mission is “to come to the aid of wild and domestic animals with hands-on rescue and rehabilitation.” Polar provides financial support for IAR’s rescue and rehabilitation projects and will feature the organization’s logo on the company’s new all natural “Fruit A Peel” brands. For more details, visit www.internationalanimalrescue.org.
- Locally, Polar is the official beverage partner for The EcoTarium in Worcester. Incorporated in 1884 (just 2 years after Polar Beverages first began operations) as the Worcester Natural History Society, the EcoTarium’s mission is to “contribute to a better world by inspiriting a passion for science and nature through discovery.” Polar is participating in numerous sampling events this summer at the EcoTarium.
